WiserHosting is Now CLOSED


Having given our clients 1 year to move to another domain name and hosting provider, we are now finally closed (as of 30 November 2021) and we can no longer respond to any support requests.

It is with regret that we have to announce that WiserHosting is winding the business down beginning November 2020 due to a change of personal circumstances affecting the business owner.

We have been unable to negotiate satisfactory terms for the sale of the business such that disruption to our clients’ hosting services would be minimised. Therefore we have opted to wind the business down gradually, allowing our hosting clients to migrate existing hosting accounts and domain names to another service provider in their own time, but well before the strict and final deadline of 30 November 2021, at which time WiserHosting will cease all web hosting, email and domain name registration services, and any associated support.

When existing annual or quarterly hosting accounts next expire, they will thereafter only be renewable on a temporary monthly billing cycle (minimum £4.59 + VAT) until the November 2021 deadline, or until they have been moved to a new hosting provider.


All domain name registrations must also be transferred away well before this November deadline (ideally no later than August/September to avoid the risk of domain names ending up in limbo when we close for business, e.g. if there were any delays or complications with a domain transfer). Please note, domain name registration periods will be carried across to the new registrar on transfer, so you will not lose out on any pre-existing registration periods, whenever you choose to transfer before the deadline.

We have elected to refer our clients to our recommended hosting provider as shown here, as they offer a free migration service. They can assist you and perform migrations on request if required, with 24/7 online support, and telephone support from Monday–Friday 9am – 8pm. With an improved web and email management service, it should feel quite familiar to current users of our cPanel hosting system. Their hosting network operates on 100% renewable energy, and they also have possibly the best DDoS protection system built into their network infrastructure.
